- To understand the strategic role of the supply chain in modern organizations by understanding how the proper management of the supply chain can achieve important competitive advantages for the company.
- To develop competencies to understand, analyze and design logistics processes that are articulated at a conceptual and practical level during the planning, operation and performance evaluation of the supply chain.
- To develop skills in the use of tools and methodologies for the analysis, design and solution of problems in the operation of the supply chain.
- To promote competencies oriented to the identification of logistic problems and the proposal of engineering solutions in the current Colombian context.

ELO-1: The student will be able to describe the basic concepts of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and analyze the importance in the creation of added value for customer and other stakeholders, considering technical, environmental, economic, social, cultural and aesthetic aspects.
ELO-2: At completion of the course, the student will be able to analyze and model phenomena and processes to solve problems related to the management of supply chains made up of men, machines, equipment and information, considering technical, environmental, economic, social, cultural and aesthetic aspects.
